Queered Terrains (2023)

Work in progress.
This film experiment investigates the texture of a queered cosmology. Filming a Beech tree in the countryside of Melrose Scotland, and a forest in Walthamstow Wetlands, this interpretation of etherial perception takes on a queered experience of the binary, Cartesian, and duo-plicit (a term I use to articulate apathy and repetitious human behaviour that perpetuates and affirms attitudes toward queer thinking) This undoing of the empirical produces a queered, vectorised, and fuzzy potential for new spaces of exploration as we transition into new states of human evolution. In the making of this piece, the experimental process of depth perception and material terrain as a site for projection, I explore sculpture and film in a way to bring about new spheres of understanding our ecological mediations.
